After the success of last year’s “Live From the Seal Pit” live album, it only made sense for the rising techno whiz kid that is Saytek to record another one.
Although this year has seen him rise to underground hero status, he has been a player in the scene for almost 10 years. He’s an innovator who puts ‘live’ laptop DJs to shame. Using classic Roland hardware, a Kaos pad 3, Ableton live 8, a Novation Xiosynth and a myriad of other noise mangling gadgets, he improvises on the fly; makes music, sounds and noises at whim, winning fans like Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, John Digweed, Peace Division, Carl Cox, Claude Von Stroke in the process.
